My style is both science and art. The science in my approach includes my ongoing commitment to monitor research on neurobiology and implement interventions that have been shown to be efficacious in addressing various therapeutic issues. For example, EMDR and TFCBT are used to improve relationships with self and others post-trauma, Emotionally Focused Therapy to improve couple relationships, and Triple P Parenting to improve parents’ relationships with their children. However, the art is in the implementation of these tools; individual personalities, preferences, readiness, and the quality of our connection are elements considered in creating a customized experience for you. I value client collaboration and integrate your feedback into the process, respecting unique differences. When you come to see me, I will listen to you before intervening, seeking to understand the idiosyncrasies of your experience.
